Alright animefriends, we have another event up our radar this upcoming August (after Eid luckily), so grab your calculator and start planning (after reading this of course)! More after the jump!

Mr. Danny Choo, producer of Culture Japan — the international brand that promotes Japanese culture, and international blogger, brings an event to Penang! Before this he was known to organise the smaller-scale event (small here compared to a convention), Culture Japan / CJ Night, which was (and still is) held across the world (read: wherever the wind takes him). For the first time, here in Penang, Mr. Choo takes CJ Night, and tunes it up to a full scale event – the Culture Japan Convention / CJC!

Knowing Mr. Danny Choo, he’d bring along special guests to bridge the border between fans, celebrities and retailers in the anime industry. GET HYPE. Guests include:-

– Yuu Asakawa // seiyuu / singer (Megurine Luka (Vocaloid) / Rider (F/SN) / Sakaki (Azumanga Daioh) / Momoyo (Majikoi))
– Vividblaze // band (Culture Japan’s OP & ED – real nice electro-jazz-fusion going on)
– Nao Shirahane (a.k.a DMYO) // illustrator (loads of Mirai Suenaga artworks / contributes to Konami, Gainax, ASCII Media Works)
– Maridah // cosplayer (Brand Ambassador of Crunchyroll / show host & correspondent for EX Studio / BESTEST SABER COSPLAYER EVER )
– Angie // cosplayer (up-and-coming talent from Malaysia / maid at Moe Moe Kyun Cafe)
– Ikkyuuu // illustrator (chibified Mirai and co. artworks (Moekana especially) — in collaboration with brands like Kinokuniya,  AmiAmi, Yuzusoft, Nitroplus, etc.)

How do you like that? Great line-up of guests we have here! Aside from guests, we will also be seeing brands like Good Smile Company (GSC), Mirai Kopitiam, Little Akiba, and VBG. Competitions will also be held. Check out the website for more info!

FYI we’ll be staying at Friendship Hotel (Google it yourself, we spoonfed you too much in this post), and the fees only cover transport and accommodation. You might want to bring extra cash for event entry, food, and of course, event loots! Also, female’s rooms are a liiitle bit expensive due to attached bathroom and hot shower. RM5 for extra comfy bathroom isn’t that bad, y’know.
