It’s a locomotive, but in SPACE! It’s Galaxy Express 999.
We’ll be watching another movie on this Wednesday’s screening, stemming from an old anime series and been packaged as a movie that compacted all of the episodes and compound it all together into one movie. How well is it done? You have to watch it yourselves. Of course, we can guarantee you with an Anno scale that it won’t be that much deviant as in the EVA’s tetralogy trilogy movie repackaged and sleazes away with a quip that it’s a rebuild.
Galaxy Express 999 (銀河鉄道999 Ginga Tetsudō Surī Nain?) is a manga written and drawn by Leiji Matsumoto, as well as various anime films and TV series based on it. It is set in a space-faring, high-tech future in which humans have learned how to transfer their minds (but not their emotions) into mechanical bodies, thus achieving practical immortality.

Just a note, the ‘999’ pronunciation is goes as “three nine” and not “nine-nine-nine” and neither does “nine hundred ninety nine”. So memorize this tactful info as not to make yourself sounds silly when talking about it. Also, it’s a locomotive and not a train, google it up. We’re feeling delighted as to give you this trivia and teach everyone a new stuff today, albeit most people are probably have been looking it up on the net by now.

Well.. we’re not doing Anime screenings in series anymore because it’s lengthy and a bit difficult for some to follow-up on every week.
But, what you can do is making a life-size cardboard cut of every member and watch the anime with it. It’s fun and sad at the same time.
