“When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy. When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.”
— Khalil Gibran
We are reaching a decade of living in the age where anybody can be anyone, yet ACG (Anime, Comic and Games) events are riddled with nothing but scum who sell handbags and unrelated merchandise. To make it worse, bootleg. Yikes! We have been nurturing this, so where are our standards? We have got to realize that.
Founded by a band of talented and colourful people under the helm of Valkyria Solutions, a new and refreshing self-proclaimed ACG event! Now, we could take it at the face value of what they said or we could take a gander first at.
Of course, enticing a huge and wide audience is a bedrock for any successful event and it takes a little analysing to target and hit realistic benchmarks, and to make it a reality, VAX has a selective quorum of talented people that are recognized as important pillars in the ACG industry. Without them, the medium that we sought out today might not be the same as it was.
Ladybeard will be smacking down to VAX with muscles and cuteness! This hunk of a kawaii figure will be landing in Malaysia. So, don’t miss your chance to meet him with a multitude of respected work at MIECC this August.
Shoji Kawamori has a multitude of respected works that brought up the niche genre and cultivated it. Beginning at a young age, you could expect that. You can have an insight on his prolific work by clicking this link. Heads up! This is not an everyday visit, he’ll also be conducting a portfolio review for hopeful writers and mechanical designers, so don’t come empty-handed.
Aimee Blackschleger, also known as Aimee B, isn’t only known for her work in the Japanese pop scene and her own band “Harp & Soul,” but this is easily recognizable from her work in the video game and anime scenes. With appearances on “Final Fantasy XIII-2”, “Pro-Evolution Soccer” and “Attack on Titan”, don’t miss out on a sought after commercial voice in Japan!
Back-On has performed theme songs for highly popular anime series including “Air Gear”, “Eyeshield 21”, “Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2” and “Gundam Build Fighters”, and guess what? This Japanese rock band will be rocking the stage at VAX this August!
GAINAX, the one who flourished the anime industry back in the mid-90’s who’s probably single-handedly responsible to define the modern anime, albeit what it is today might not be what they were hoping for, will be making a tour in VAX to exhibit a gallery featuring artworks from their past animation projects as well as a sneak peek of their future productions.
What’dya think? Ask Kaku to teleport you to the event or something? Get in line with the others at Mines on 21st August OR you can hasten the process by buying the early bird ticket for both days for only RM 25! It’s two for the price of one!
